Daily commentary-2023.10.20 Global environments:Politics:Big events:Palestine-Israel conflict: Israel is storming Gaza strip and Iran is critisizing Isreal of killing citizens. Global market is panic on current conflict may spread to rest of Middle East area and cause the oil supply disruptions. This pushed oil price up by almost 8% in past week. My understanding on this is that this conflict will not further spread due to good oil price. Other countries will not miss this good earning period. US has a strong interests on cheap oil, so it has an interest to control the middle east conflict from spread out. So do EU, who are lack of oil. China and Russia want blame US for middle east conflict and take the burden away from current Russia - Ukraine conflict.Russia-Ukraine conflict:after about 1.6 yrs of invasion, Ukraine is taking counteroffense now to recover some of the lost territory. War capital for Russia is coming from oil and energy revenue. War capital for Ukraine is coming from subsides from US and EU. However, US and

The main reason for this would be the social habbits of collabration and collective culture. This makes people easy to success when they are more familiar with the culture itself. However, the culture is changing gradually as society evolving. Culture is influenced by politics, economy and technology. The relationship is more like when politics are unsettled, we may see more conflicts in cultural products. When politics are stable, we may see more peaceful culture. When economy is good, we see bright culture products. When economy is depressed, we see gray or dark cultural products. Two-sides properties make this chinese culture products harder to evaluate, since the deep meaning for the cultural product may totally opposite from its appearance.Big events:Russia-Ukraine conflicts: it has been 16 months since start of the conflict. Oil price has been picked and down. Economy has been rollercoaster for last year. However, we finally walked out from the worst situation.Cycles:Economy: Global economy is in the process of recovering. So it will drive the commodities price higher. Also the supply side are experience more hiccups, so the commodity price is not stable at all. It is more easy to go higher than lower. The true driver of economy is to provide things other people would needed. In the expension economy, people would consume more. In economy downturn, people tend to spend less.

This triggers investors' worries on middle-east political tensions and pushed oil price up and depressed equities down.Russia-Ukraine conflict:Ukraine is counter-offensing Russia in some area. But Ukraine would depend on US and EU supports on money and weapons. This did push up oil and food price globally.Overall view this Gaza conflict seems my escalate to bigger scale and lead to bigger wars.
